What's it like to live in Egypt??

What's it like to live and work in Egypt??

Here is just one example. Yesterday the workers made a lot of noise with drills and sheet rock in the hallway. They actually sheet rocked right over the entrance to the laundry room. One of the teachers who speaks Arabic said  they said it was temporary and that even our APARTMENTS would be sheet rocked over for a few days. Ha ha very funny we all thought.

Well, here are photos of:
Saeed and the sheet rock he just took down off of the entrance to Kyera's apartment - you can still see the aluminum frame around it.
and

Hassan taking the sheet rock off of the entrance to Monica's apartment. Luckily she came home early in the day unexpectedly and discovered this . . .not sure what to call it! snafu I guess. She got on the phone and got the guys to take the walls away sooner than it would have happened if we did not discover it til 3:30 -who knows?! by then the workers may have gone home!!

Can you see where Mrs. Nasra's door used to be?? She still lives there . . . just can't get in. As I write this I am not sure if this wall is gone again . . .I assume so! And will my door be walled over tomorrow after school? And of course, the biggest question is why? why? why?
We will never know and we won't even bother to ask.
THAT'S! what it's like to live in Egypt!
